Ashley Tisdale's Diet and Exercise Secrets that Keep Her in Great Shape

Ashley Tisdale was one of the stars in the well-known High School Musical. Last January 2009, she was the cover of the Shape Magazine wherein she shared her secrets about her diet and exercise.
Ashley Tisdale’s diet contains eating a lot but making sure she’s able to burn off those calories through going to a gym and working out. “I eat a lot of food. The guys are like, ‘You eat more than we do!’ It’s kind of crazy. I eat food for the energy, and obviously I have to eat a lot because I’m burning so much”, Ashlee claims.

Furthermore, she doesn’t limit much what she consumes but she doesn’t like taking in any carbs after 3 PM. She likewise prefers to eat apples, hummus, celery, almond butter, fish, steak or turkey. Her diet is actually high in protein which she thinks will her supply her with enough energy.
She likewise admits that she loves to eat French Fries and bread. She eats McDonald’s when she’s not at home, and when she is, she cooks for her. Typically, she has omelette for breakfast which is mainly composed of egg whites and veggies. She also loves coffee, particularly Folger’s coffee with coffee mate.
Ashley Tisdale’s exercise routine is basically influenced by her trainer, Christopher Herbert. She does 30 minutes of cardio exercises plus 30 minutes of strength training thrice or four times a week. Herbert states, "She really enjoys cardio--especially running stairs with a medicine ball.” She does the cardio exercise on a treadmill or perhaps on an elliptical machine that increases in intensity towards the end. Her 30 minutes of weight training includes working out the whole body which is primarily focused on core workouts. Included also in Ashley Tisdale’s exercise routine are push ups, shoulder presses and bicep curls.
She likewise does kickboxing together with weight lifting for one hour with her personal trainer. According to Ashley, “It’s [kickboxing] great for cardio. It’s great for your abs and your whole body. Weight training is great for toning up and leaning up without bulking up. But the kickboxing is really amazing because it just works everything at once.”
All the hard work, efforts and self-discipline Ashley has been doing is not particularly about weight loss, but keeping herself well-toned and to feel good about herself.
