This 5 feet 1 inch, 34-year old, Grammy award- winning, sultry and sexy Columbian siren, best known for her ultra sexy hips and gyrating belly dancing moves, is currently in the US Celebrity Weigh Loss alert after being photographed in Ibiza in a hot pink number flaunting her picture-perfect abs leaving the world to wonder “how did she ever manage to have a beautifully sculpted body just like that?”
Well wonder no more because I’ve found a copy of Shakira’s diet, which include a healthy variety of lean proteins and an assortment of vegetables and fruits, and plenty of small meals to keep her metabolism rolling the whole day through. Here’s a sampler:
  • Breakfast – a glass of grapefruit/orange juice, a slice of melon/pineapple, a slice of whole grain toast with low-fat cheese
  • Mid-morning snack – an apple or 2 pieces of kiwi or a peach with a medium-sized yogurt
  • Lunch – lean grilled beefsteak, a serving of pumpkin pudding, a serving of spaghetti with vegetables, tomato and spinach salad
  • Mid-afternoon snack – a slice of whole grain toast with white non-fat cheese, or 1 non-fat yogurt or a glass of tomato juice
  • Dinner – lentils with broccoli and tomato, vegetable soup, 2 slices of whole grain bread, a peach/apple/a serving of diet gelatin with fruits/fruit salad
To top this off, Shakira also trains with Tracy Anderson, to maintain that gorgeous midsection. Her routine include a 60-minute strength straining and followed by a 40-minute cardio dance. She also incorporates a lot of belly dancing into her dance routines, and uses fitness machine such as 3-pound dumbbells for weightlifting (to keep her arms in shape) and elliptical machine and follows these surefire steps to maintaining a healthy lifestyle:
  • She makes it a point to steer clear off alcoholic and caffeinated drinks, junk foods and sweets
  • She never smokes and stays up late
