Why Spinning Classes Will Succeed In Helping You To Reach Your Goals?

Spin Bikes vs Other Exercise Bikes

Spin Bikes have an open flywheel that controls the resistance of the workout. This can simulate real cycling better than other exercise bikes. The handlebars on a spin bike are lower down than other exercise bikes. This simulates a racing bike and is particularly helpful if you want to get into bike racing shape. Unlike other exercise bikes, spin bikes have to be brought to rest slowly, this encourages you to keep going with your workout as stopping and starting requires a lot of effort.

What are the benefits of Spinning Classes?

Constant Motivation

The main benefits of a spinning class can only be seen when you have a talented instructor who will keep you motivated and make the class fun. Anthony Gill, masters cycling, World and European champion 2008 will certainly do that at the No1 Fitness centre in Cross Hills. One of the best spinning class instructors around, he will be positioned facing the class, calling out instructions about the warm up, or a change in terrain. This, along with music and a general atmosphere designed to keep you pumped up and motivated, will encourage you to push yourself further.

Convenience

Spinning bike classes are held at a convenient time for most people, 5:45- 6:00 pm on a Friday and 9:00- 10:00am on a Sunday. Held inside the No 1 fitness centre near skipton, they do not rely on the weather and are great to keep fit during the off season. If you become a member of the fitness centre, once you learn how to use the bike, you can incorporate it into your own workouts without having to rely on Anthony’s instruction.

Weight Loss

Spinning bikes, like most cardiovascular exercise, are a great way to lose weight. Attending one of the 45 minute, or 60 minute spin classes per week will help you to reach your weight loss goals. Spinning classes are fun, motivational and convenient, making any exercise aim easier to achieve.

Muscle Endurance

Muscle endurance is achieved by doing repetitive muscle contractions for a prolonged period of time. Spinning bikes are one of the best ways to improve leg muscle endurance.

Muscle Toning and Strengthening

The Glutes, Hamstrings, Quads, Calves and Abs are all targeted during spinning bike classes. These areas will become stronger and more toned if you turn the resistance up and stand whilst cycling.

Recovery

Spinning Bike classes are a great way to recover from an injury. During the class you are able to go at your own effort level, making it ideal for people of all abilities. When spin bikes are used in a seated position, they do not place an excessive amount of pressure on the joints, so they can be ideal for those with joint problems.

Balance and Posture

Using a spinning bike will engage your hips and shoulders for stability, this can improve your posture and balance.
