Lemonade Diet – What Should You Eat Under This Program?

Lemonade Diet or Master Cleanse Programsuggested by late Stanley Burroughs is a fasting program under which one gets rid of toxins developed within the body.
These toxins are the result of lack of exercise, improper diet and negative thoughts. The Lemonade Diet helps to prevent damage that can result from these toxins and lets you lose weight as well. This article will let you know what to eat in a Lemonade diet.
Lemonade Diet – What To Eat Under This Program
When you’re in this type of diet, you should avoid taking solid foods and supplementsAll you need to take in is lemonade drink (also known as Master Cleanse drink). This drink should be consumed 6 times or more on a daily basis. However, in addition, you can just take in “salt water flush” in the morning. This is prepared by adding 2 teaspoons of salt to a quart of water. If you’d like to have the “salt flush water” at night, you need to mix it with herbal laxative tea.
A single serving of Master Cleanse drink should include fresh lemon juice (2 tablespoons), 1/10th teaspoonful of cayenne pepper, 10 ounces of filtered water in addition to organic maple syrup (Grade-B) in 2 tablespoons. The lemon juice can be prepared by using half of an organic lemon (as it is free of toxins). However, you should avoid taking in canned lemon juice, as it lacks the vitamins and nutrients required by your body.
Regarding the maple juice, avoid using the commercial maple syrup that is available for use on pancakes. Sometimes, you may use organic maple syrup instead of the Grade-B syrup. However, the fact remains that the Grade-B syrup has more nutritious value compared to the organic syrup.
After you follow the Lemonade Diet for around 4-14 days, you can start having vegetable soup followed by solid foods like fruits and vegetables gradually. Since the Lemonade Diet is like a fasting program because you don’t eat solid foods initially, hence you lose calories. However, you’re likely to lose water weight and not the extra fat in your body.
Another thing that you should know about Lemonade Diet is that it may lead to increase in appetite as you’re fasting under the program. You may also have headaches and get tired quite often.Diarrhea, constipation and dizziness are the other side-effects of Lemonade Diet.
